My latest obsession...making my own crackers. Perfect winter hobby, perfect with Balcony to Table salads, perfect as gifts. People love crackers.
I'm spending alot of time perfecting the home-made cracker. Cheddar cheese crackers...thank you Valerie Bertinelli. Only on special occasions...it's too good. I'm also making some lower-calorie varieties. Thin plain crackers made super-special with rosemary, fennel, sesame or poppy seeds on top. I'm experimenting with more interesting flavours. It's also a great way to use up the varieties of salt I've collected: black Hawaiian, pink Himalaya, smoked chardonnay, gray Britan (it's French), Maldon sea salt, Smoked Maldon sea salt, lemon-infused Sicilian salt. I will be producing a gluten-and-dairy-free version too. It's possible.
