Farm to Table communities, called Agrihoods, are the real estate development trend. Luxury residential communities built around real working farms. Most of these farms produce fruits and vegetables; some have chicken and cattle. The farm is one of the amenities like the swimming pool or gym or golf course (in the fancier communities).
People like the view of the country landscape and having easy access to fresh produce. The residents pay a management fee to cover the on-site professional farmers who operate the farm. The harvest is sold to the residents and to the public at an on-site market. In some communities, the farm is profitable which benefits the residents. The selling feature of these Agrihoods is the farm to table concept.
